Robot Surgery on a Grape: Jr. Medical School Project-Based Learning

Robotic Surgeons

The da Vinci Surgical System is used to stitch a grape back together. The same technology that can be used to suture a tiny grape is designed to help perform delicate, minimally invasive surgery.

The students in Long Beach, California are working on the “Occupy Mars Learning Adventures.”  They are going to Jr. Medical School.  They will one day be the surgeons that will help astronauts from a distance.  We are working with prototypes of robotic arms and controlling them from a distance.
